Our bar and restaurant is ideally situated for all you nature lovers, bird-spotters, dog walkers, hungry and thirsty ramblers and anyone who just wants to pop in to have a quick tipple.

The Hero can cater for small and large pre-booked parties (maximum 40 people) and we are happy to tailor our menu to suit your requirements; for instance, you can choose from a platter of assorted sandwiches or you can you can warm up with our stew and dumplings.

Because we have a large car park, you can start and finish your walk at ease, you can also start off with coffee or tea, but we do request pre-orders for a minimum of 10 people.

So, just throw the wellies off, come inside, warm up and enjoy our hospitality which The Hero is famous for.
